George Takes 2nd Place at the Ben Nevis Ultra
Another bad weather rerouting meant that the final Ben Nevis Ultra featured less climbing and faster trails, with George coming in second to continue his lead of the UK & Ireland Skyrunning Series.
After 3 podiums in 3 Skyrunning races in the UK, George started the Ben Nevis Ultra as leader of the men’s series. His superb finish in second place means he continues to lead the Skyrunner UK & Ireland Series and is in a great position to win it once the season concludes with the Seven Sisters Skyline on 23rd September.
George’s focus at the start of the year was to target the first 4 races of the UK & Ireland Skyrunning series and secure podiums at each of them, which he has achieved, with his worst result being second! This has resulted in him leading the UK series and putting in a really solid year of racing ahead of bigger challenges in 2024.
