Chelsea Secures Overall Golden Trail Series UK & Netherlands Win

Chelsea cemented her position in the last race of the 2023 series with a solid second place at the Ring of Steall.

Running the 29km with 2,500 m of ascent of the Salomon Ring of Steall in 4:56:26, Chelsea put in a solid performance to cross the finish line in second place behind Sara Willhoit.
After two wins earlier this year (at Trail Marathon Wales and the Serpent Trail), Chelsea is overall women’s leader in the Golden Trail Series UK & Netherlands. She has qualified for the Golden Trail World Series Grand Final - to be held at Golfo dell’Isola in October.

After missing out on winning the UK & NL Golden Trail Series in 2022, this victory was even more poignant, and shows Chelsea’s determination and focus. In 2022, after winning the first two races in the series, an unfortunate ankle injury whilst representing the UK and Ireland in the Skyrunning World Championships meant she missed the final race of the year. However, this year she showed incredible consistency with three fantastic races across the series to secure overall victory.
