ETT Podiums at the Arc of Attrition by UTMB

The 2025 trail running season saw the Cornish race Arc of Attrition join the UTMB World Series, becoming a qualifier for UTMB Finals in Chamonix and drawing ever more world-class talent. The classic Arc50 and Arc100 (50 miles and 100 miles long, respectively) were also joined by the Arc25 - a 25 mile / 40 km race. ETT athletes Poppy, Keith and Hugh raced in the Arc50 and all stepped on the podium, while Kris won the Arc25.

Kris ran a very measured, fast race from the beginning in the Arc25. He took the lead early on and kept it until the very end, finishing in a superb time of 2:41:25.

In the Arc50, the men’s race also established a lead pack early on, formed by Hugh, Keith, Tom Evans, and Jack Chamberlain. Eventually, Hugh crossed the line in second place, in 7:01:13, just 6 minutes 33 seconds behind Tom. Keith then rounded out the podium, coming in in 7:13:35.

And in the women’s race, it was a nail biter as Poppy went off fast but was sat in 4th place through the first checkpoints. She kept a steady pace, slowly moving up the field overall, and overtaking 4th and 3rd placed ladies to finish in a fantastic second place with a time of 9:21:50 (14th overall, and an improvement on her 9:23:10 winning time in the same race last year).

All four athletes are now qualified in the UTMB World Series finals in 2026: Poppy, Hugh and Keith will have a spot at the CCC, while Kris has now booked a place in the OCC, just a few weeks after confirming his 2025 OCC slot by winning the 50k race at the Kullamannen by UTMB (where he also set a new course record).
