Swiss Alps 100 Win for Vicks
After winning her first trail race at the Engadin Ultra Trail 53km, Victoria stepped up to the 100 km distance during the Swiss Alps 100 weekend, coming away with another win.
After running for just over 15 hours, Vicks crossed the finish line of the Swiss Alps 100 km race as first female and third overall. She was only 5 minutes behind the second-placed male runner.
The race route covered stunning alpine terrain and challenged runners with 6,250 m of ascent along the way. For Victoria, this was the longest running race to date and a great opportunity to refine her pacing and fuelling strategy. She was in control throughout the day, climbing strongly and even taking the overall lead briefly before settling into a well-managed pace that saw her win the female race comfortably. Another great trail experience!
Next up for Victoria is the Wild 70 at Wildstrubel by UTMB - marking a step up in competition, as it’s part of the UTMB World Series.
