At The RAT plague100k pOppy Becomes British ultra Champion

Poppy was victorious in her first 100k race at Mudcrew Events’ Plague race, part of the Roseland August Trail (RAT) festival. With her win, she also became the British Ultra Champion.

Once again stepping up in race distance after winning the La Sportiva Arc 50 earlier this year, this was Poppy’s first 100k, an out-and-back course featuring 4010 m of ascent on challenging coastal trails in Cornwall.

She put in a fantastic performance to finish first woman, in 12:09:00, and placing 5th overall.

As the event was also the British Trail Running Association’s Ultra Distance Championship, Poppy is now the 2024 women’s British champion, too. A great achievement as she progresses in her ultra running career.
