Nico is a former ice hockey player who has felt a strong connection to the mountains since he was a little kid. He loves sports in nature and the feeling of freedom when he can be out in the mountains.
Living in the Swiss mountains, Nico started trail running and ski mountaineering after finishing his career as an ice hockey player. The longer he went on, the more he developed the urge to climb the surrounding mountains faster and more efficiently. The first competitions followed and his motivation to train longer and harder increased as a result of success.
Nico’s biggest goal is to represent his country at international trail running championships, while in winter he is aiming to make the Swiss National Team and race in the ISMF World Cup.
