Josip Meštrić

Josip is a Croatian trail runner who likes to mix things up with occasional road and ultra running. He tried various distances and now focuses on fast trail races up to 30km.

As a former mountain bike rider for the Croatian national team, his history of endurance sports is quite long. After 5 years of competitive cycling, he started ultra running and finished UTMB in 2022 as a 23-year old.

Sport is his lifestyle: he enjoys long days outdoors and spends most of his free time participating in outdoor activities. Josip won the Croatia / Slovenia / Hungary Golden Trail National Series in 2023 and 2024, securing his place in the Golden Trail finals two years in a row.

He is a current National Champion in "Short-trail", Vice Champion in Half Marathon, and was the 2023 Croatian National Champion in Long trail, 6-hour running and Vice Champion in 50km. Josip likes to challenge himself and enjoys the training process. Downhill running is his favourite part of this beautiful sport!
